In preparation for our annual OCC Shoebox Packing Party on Sunday, October 30th, we will request specific items each month! Collection containers are located in each building near the classrooms. OCTOBER our focus is collecting Hygiene and Personal Needs!  Anything that children ages 2-14 would need! Toothbrushes, (no toothpaste or liquids) soap bars (place in Ziploc sandwich bags) washcloths, bandaids, solid deodorant sticks, chapstick, sturdy cups, bowls and containers, socks, warm hats, gloves and scarves, journals, new testaments, clothesline, and…

Youth Worship Service & Fellowship Saturday, November 5th  3:00 pm Beulah Baptist Church Youth Grades 6 – 12 Guest Speaker:  Peter McDonald Chick-fil-a food, Games, Bring Canned Goods for a chance to win a Nintendo Switch! This is a PBA sponsored Youth event. 

Ladies Paint Night Friday, November 4th – 6:30 pm – FLC Bring your favorite appetizer to share! Cost is $25.00. Money must be paid by Sunday, October 30th. (Checks payable to Midway Baptist.) Childcare for ages 3 & up will be provided (There are twelve paint design options available for you to choose from.)

October is Pastor Appreciation Month! Sunday Morning Sermon Series from the Book of James Join us as Pastor Randall takes us through a weekly series from the Book of James.  God’s wisdom is perfect and readily available to all of us!  James gives us practical examples and instructions to live out the Christian life daily.  This series will challenge us to be “doers of the word, and not hearers only”!      

Samaritan’s Purse is currently looking to hire approximately 500 Christian men and women to fill paid positions for a four-week project with Operation Christmas Child. Their seasonal positions include a wide variety of customer service and warehouse roles (including heavy lifters, Class-A CDL drivers, and forklift operators). The ideal candidate for this position has a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, aligns with the mission of Samaritan’s Purse, works well with volunteers, and is flexible and able to function well in a fast-paced environment. This year, Midway’s North Carolina Missions Offering (NCMO) goal is $6,000. The four main ministries this offering supports are Baptists on Mission, church planting,  mission camps, and mobilization ministries. We will receive the offering on September 18th. Saturday, August 20th – 9:30 am All Youth, 6th grade and up, and their families are invited and can bring a friend.  Youth will need a modest bathing suit, change of clothes, sunscreen, towel, and money for ice cream. A picnic lunch will be provided.  If you are willing to drive your vehicle,  please let us know.  A signup sheet with more information is on the Youth bulletin board in the hall.
