Our Easter Sermon Series is titled the Portraits of the Passion.  We will be focusing on major scenes in the Passion narrative such as Jesus riding into Jerusalem, His betrayal, The Last Supper, Prayers in the Garden, Christ before Pilate, His Crucifixion, and His Resurrection. You will not want to miss any of these messages as we visit each scene leading us to the Cross and Christ’s triumphant resurrection!

Sunday, January 12 Scott Jennings, Strategic Expansion Director, for Zoweh Ministries will be our special guest speaker in both morning worship services. Compelled by Love will be his topic. We will also have an all men’s choir in both services. Practice will be this Wednesday evening after the service.

Youth Worship Service is every Wednesday night at 7:00pm in the Family Life Center! All area youth are invited to join us each week as we ENGAGE in worship & Bible study.

Children’s Ministry presents A Shepherd’s Story!

Each year, as Christmas approaches, our hearts are somehow drawn again to Bethlehem. We long to relive the story — to see the shepherds on the hillside, to hear the angels in the heavens, to journey with the wise men, and more than anything, to worship our newborn King lying in the manger. We know you will be encouraged as you experience the dramatic musical, Take Me Back to Bethlehem!

Our goal for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering (LMCO) this year is $3,678, which is equal to the number of International Missions Board missionaries currently serving around the world. Midway’s week of prayer for LMCO is December 15th-22nd and we will receive the Lottie Moon offering on Sunday, December 22nd. Please be prayerful about giving to support missionaries as they share the good news of Jesus with the nations.

Sermon Series We will begin a new sermon series this Sunday entitled “The Door”.  We will journey through scripture from the Old and New Testaments that reveal different doors.  A few of the “doors” we will see are a “door to salvation”, a “door to the temple”, a “door to sacrifice”!  This week’s message is “The Door that Shouldn’t Have Been Opened”!

Our Fall Festival will be held Saturday, November 2nd from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Invite your family and friends to join us! We will have games, hayride, cake walk, food, & fun! If you would like to volunteer to help with this family, fun event there is a signup sheet on the bulletin board in the hall or call the church office. We are also taking donations of individually wrapped candy!

Sunday,  September 29th 9:30 – 10:10 am Breakfast Fellowship in the Family Life Center At 10:10 am, all Sunday School Classes will meet in their regular classrooms after breakfast. Regular Sunday Morning Worship Services at 8:30 am and 11:00 am.  

NC Missions Offering – Sunday, September 29th This is a special offering that supports the ministries of NC Baptists on Mission, church planting, mission camps, associational projects and mobilization ministry projects. Prayerfully consider your gift! Our goal for the offering this year is $3,500.

Sunday, August 18 6:00 pm – New Life Property Everyone is invited!  If you plan to attend, we will need drinks, chips, sides, and desserts.  BBQ will be provided.  A signup sheet is on the bulletin board in the hall.  If you would like to be baptized, please see Pastor Peter, Pastor Sean, or call the church office.  Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs and outdoor games.

This fundraiser for missions will be held at the Columbus Fire Department Monday, July 1st – Wednesday, July 3rd. They will need donations of individually wrapped baked goods and volunteers for each evening from 4:30 pm – until.  Please see Jane Atkins or Xan Morse for more information.

Church Picnic at New Life Camp Property Sunday Evening, June 30th at 6:00 pm Everyone is invited and asked to bring homemade ice creams, sides, chips, or drinks to share!  We’ll provide the sandwiches and watermelon. Bible Study Series on Wednesday Evenings This teaching series will take us through the whole Bible throughout 2018!  The corresponding chapters from the Bible for the lessons on Wednesdays will be posted each week in the bulletin and on FaceBook.  We hope you will join us as we read and journey through the entire Bible this year!
